Minimum Requirements
You must have one of the following:

Tertiary Qualification:

A 3-year Electrical Engineering qualification (NQF Level 6)

OR

Technical Route:

N3 Certificate + Trade Test (Electrician)

3–5 years’ technical experience in the built environment
-
Other essential requirements:

Valid driver’s licence
-
Computer literacy
-
Knowledge of:
-
PFMA (Public Finance Management Act)
-
OHSA (Occupational Health & Safety Act)
-
National Building Regulations
-
Environment Conservation Act
-
Government procurement system
-
-
Willingness to travel and work irregular hours
-
Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills
Key Duties & Responsibilities
-
Manage and respond to planned and unplanned maintenance requests
-
Compile scopes of work, technical reports, and cost estimates
-
Inspect:
-
Leased buildings and facilities
-
Electrical installations and their optimal use
-
Meter readings and municipal electricity/water accounts
-

Ensure:
-
All electrical installations comply with SANS standards
-
Work and drawings comply with OHSA
-
Proper tender documentation is prepared
-
Invoices from contractors are verified and certified
-
-
Monitor and report monthly on all electrical-related activities
-
Support property management in all electrical disciplines
