Job Overview:
You’ll oversee the daily operations of a collection station, ensuring efficient task completion, accurate data reporting, and safe working conditions. You’ll also manage relationships with external stakeholders (like abattoir management), support planning with the Fleet Controller, and lead a small operational team.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:

Supervise day-to-day collection station activities

Support operators to maintain high performance and safety

Ensure cleanliness and operational readiness of the site
Reporting & Data:

Collect/report key operational data to Supply Chain Manager

Share schedules & updates with Fleet Controller

Complete all required reports accurately and on time
Relationship Management:

Main liaison with abattoir management and stakeholders
-
Address concerns and maintain good working relationships
Coordination & Planning:

Help Fleet Controller plan routes and schedules
-
Manage breakdowns/delays and adjust plans accordingly

Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations
Health & Safety:

Enforce all safety regulations

Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments

Foster a safety-focused culture
Leadership:
Handle staff scheduling, leave, and basic discipline (with Supply Chain Manager input)

Lead by example to maintain high morale and performance
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven supervisory experience in a logistics/operations/industrial setting
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Organized, with multitasking and prioritization abilities
- Experience with data collection and reporting
- Solid understanding of health & safety practices
- Comfortable working under pressure and solving problems
- Basic IT literacy (Microsoft Office, communication tools)
Working Conditions:
