    Purpose of the Position:

    To supervise and oversee the daily operations at the collection station, ensuring efficient execution of tasks, compliance with health and safety regulations, accurate reporting, and effective coordination with internal departments and external partners, particularly the abattoir management team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Operational Management

    • Supervise daily collection station activities ensuring operational efficiency

    • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the site for operations

    • Support operators and enforce performance and safety standards

    Reporting & Data Management

    • Compile and submit operational reports and performance metrics to the Supply Chain Manager

    • Share schedules and relevant updates with the Fleet Controller

    • Ensure timely and accurate documentation

    Relationship Management

    • Act as the main liaison with the abattoir management team

    • Address concerns and maintain strong communication with external partners

    Coordination & Planning

    • Assist the Fleet Controller with planning and scheduling logistics

    • Help manage and resolve delays or breakdowns

    • Coordinate cross-departmentally to ensure uninterrupted operations

    Health & Safety

    • Enforce strict adherence to health and safety standards

    • Conduct regular risk assessments and report hazards/incidents

    • Foster a safety-first culture within the team

    Leadership & Development

    • Oversee staff schedules, leave planning, and minor disciplinary matters

    • Guide, support, and develop team members on-site

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • Proven supervisory experience in an industrial, logistics, or operational environment

    • Strong leadership and communication abilities

    • Proficient in data collection and report preparation

    • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards

    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure

    • Good organisational and multitasking capabilities

    • Basic IT proficiency (Microsoft Office, communication platforms)

    • Experience managing internal and external stakeholder relationships

    Working Conditions:

    • Based primarily at the collection station

    • May require travel to other operational sites or the head office when necessary

    • Fast-paced, operational environment involving coordination with multiple departments
