Job Overview
PepsiCo is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Despatch Attendant to join the Bloemfontein Bakery Supply Chain team. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the accurate loading and offloading of bread and crates, support efficient stock flow within the warehouse, and contribute to timely deliveries in accordance with company standards and safety regulations.
The role requires physical stamina, strong attention to detail, adherence to FIFO principles, and commitment to health and safety standards.
Job Description
1. Loading & Offloading Operations
-
Load and offload bread and crates from feeder, local, buy-out, and rental trucks.

Ensure correct stock is loaded according to truck manifests.

Convey bread from cages to allocated warehouse spaces.

Follow truck loading sequences to ensure operational efficiency.

Ensure timely loading to avoid late deliveries.
2. Stock Control & Accuracy

Maintain accuracy when handling stock and dispatching goods.

Apply FIFO (First In, First Out) principles to ensure proper stock rotation.

Communicate effectively with Stock Controllers regarding stock movement and duties.

Assist in maintaining proper stock flow within the warehouse.
3. Safety & Compliance

Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company procedures.

Apply 5S principles to maintain housekeeping standards.

Align with company values and uphold them at all times.
4. General Duties
-
Perform ad hoc duties within the despatch department as required.

Support operational efficiency within the Supply Chain function.
Minimum Requirements
-
NQF Level 4, Grade 12, or relevant equivalent qualification.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) will be applied based on SETA accreditations.

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar warehouse or despatch environment.

Knowledge of health and safety standards.

Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
