Job Overview
CBRE Excellerate is seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to provide electrical maintenance services at client premises in Bloemfontein.
The role focuses on ensuring that all electrical systems are maintained safely, efficiently, and in compliance with statutory regulations and service level agreements (SLAs). The successful candidate will also manage and coordinate contractors delivering electrical and mechanical services, conduct proactive inspections, and respond to emergency call-outs, including 24-hour standby duties.
Job Purpose
To deliver professional electrical maintenance services while ensuring compliance with Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) regulations, contractual obligations, and quality standards. The Electrician will also ensure that all electrical and related mechanical services are maintained proactively to prevent operational disruptions.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Maintenance

Perform general electrical maintenance and repairs at client premises.

Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems.

Ensure all systems comply with applicable regulations and standards.
Contractor Management

Manage and coordinate technical contractors on-site.

Ensure work is completed according to quality and safety standards.

Monitor performance against contract agreements and SLAs.
Inspections & Compliance

Conduct proactive inspections to identify faults and risks.

Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and SHEQ principles.

Maintain adherence to Facilities Management (FM) policies and procedures.
Administration & Reporting

Complete digital job cards and maintenance reports.

Use mobile applications and reporting tools for documentation.

Provide updates to the Operations Manager, Administrator, and Client.
Emergency & Standby Duties

Respond to emergency call-outs.

Participate in 24-hour standby rotations.

Provide technical support during critical incidents.
Continuous Improvement

Identify opportunities for maintenance optimisation.

Support operational efficiency initiatives.
Minimum Requirements

Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical maintenance.

Electrical Trade Test qualification.

Wireman’s License.

N3 Electrical qualification.

Valid driver’s license.

Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical maintenance principles.

Knowledge of OHS Act, SHEQ principles, and statutory requirements.

Experience managing technical contractors.

Basic computer literacy (mobile apps, job cards, reporting).
