    Tender Overview

    Maluti-a-Phofung Water (SOC) Ltd is seeking a qualified service provider to deliver high-speed, business-grade internet connectivity across its offices and water treatment sites. This project aims to enhance operational efficiency, data communication, and reliable connectivity to support organizational activities.

     Objectives

    • Provide reliable internet connectivity at multiple sites to ensure continuous operational functionality
    • Support high-speed data transmission and secure communications
    • Enable compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks, including POPIA and RICA
    • Maintain service levels with minimum uptime and rapid response times for issues

     Scope of Work

    The selected provider will supply internet connectivity to the following locations:

    • Phuthaditjhaba Office (Main Office)
    • Harrismith Office
    • Makwane Water Treatment Plant
    • Fika Patso Water Treatment Plant
    • Sterkfontein Water Treatment Plant
    • Harrismith Stores
    • Wilge Water Treatment Plant

    Key service requirements:

    • Contractual duration of at least 12 months
    • Minimum uptime of 90%
    • Maximum response time for service issues: 1 hour
    • Provision of business-grade, reliable internet with site-specific speeds

     Technical Requirements

    • High-speed, uncapped internet with minimum 50 Mbps for high-demand sites, and 10 Mbps for moderate-demand sites
    • Maximum speeds up to 100 Mbps, ensuring seamless operation across all sites
    • Active contractual service for a minimum of 12 months
    • Compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks (POPIA, RICA)
    • Provision of reliable and secure connectivity suitable for municipal operations

     Skills & Qualification Requirements

    • Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) with valid summary report
    • Proof of tax compliance status and municipal rates clearance (≤ 3 months arrears)
    • For joint ventures/consortia, all parties must be CSD-registered with individual tax compliance certificates
    • CIDB grading of at least 1 GB (General Building), registered or renewed within 3 years
    • Ability to submit quotations on company letterhead in sealed envelopes, clearly referencing the project
    • Compliance with municipal supply chain management policies and B-BBEE verification
    • Proven experience delivering business-grade internet services, preferably to municipal or public sector organizations
