Job Overview

PepsiCo is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Store Controller to join the Bloemfontein Bakery Supply Chain team. The primary purpose of this role is to manage the physical receipt, storage, control, and issuing of stock and consumables, ensuring accurate record-keeping and maintaining high standards of warehouse organisation and hygiene.

The Store Controller plays a critical role in maintaining stock integrity, supporting operational continuity, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and housekeeping standards.

Job Description

1. Goods Receiving & Stock Control

Manage the physical receipt of goods and consumables.
Verify quantities and quality of received items against delivery documentation.
Ensure accurate recording of all stock movements using Kardex, bin cards, or computerised systems.
Maintain up-to-date and accurate stock records.

2. Issuing & Administration

Issue stock against authorised requisitions.
Control and monitor consumable usage.
Record and track all consumable movements to ensure accountability.
Ensure proper documentation and filing of stock-related transactions.

3. Warehouse Management & Housekeeping

Maintain organised and clearly labelled storage areas.
Ensure stores items are kept in good condition.
Uphold high standards of hygiene and housekeeping within the warehouse.
Support adherence to safety and company standards.

Minimum Requirements

Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar stores or warehouse control environment.
Experience working with manual and/or computerised stock control systems.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organisational and record-keeping skills.
