Objective
The objective of this RFQ is to appoint a qualified and licensed pest control service provider to deliver comprehensive pest management services at the Universitas Business Unit laboratories in Bloemfontein for a period of 36 months, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and compliant laboratory environment.
Scope of Services
The successful service provider will be responsible for:

Providing pest control services at multiple laboratory facilities

Treating and controlling pests including:
-
Cockroaches
-
Fleas
-
Flies
-
Ants
-
Wasps and bees
-
Mosquitoes
-
Snakes and lizards (where applicable)

Conducting quarterly pest control treatments (four times per year)
-
Using approved pesticides suitable for healthcare and laboratory environments
-
Performing services during weekends or after hours, where required, to avoid operational disruption

Issuing certificates of treatment after each service, valid for 6–12 months

Supplying Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for all chemicals used
Technical & Compliance Requirements
Bidders must:

Hold a valid structural pest control licence
-
Be registered with the South African Pest Control Association (SAPCA) or equivalent
-
Comply with health, safety, and manufacturing practice standards
-
Provide MSDS documentation for all chemicals
-
Submit references for similar projects completed within the last three (3) years
-
Demonstrate experience in laboratory and healthcare environments
-
Adhere strictly to NHLS safety, hygiene, and reporting requirements
